Wafaa and her family are living in the south of the Gaza strip, where essentials like bread are excorbitantly expensive. Additionally, Wafaa’s mother is suffering with high blood pressure, and the family needs support to continue paying medical bills for her ongoing treatment. Please help financially support Wafaa’s family to whatever extent you are able.

Here are the family’s needs in Wafaa’s own words:

“My name is Wafaa, I am 26 years old, from a simple family of 6 girls and 3 boys. My father was working and our life was beautiful as we lived in the middle of the Gaza Strip. The war came and destroyed everything that was our source of livelihood. After four months of war, the occupation dropped evacuation leaflets on our area. We were displaced to the Rafah area and we bought a tent. Living in a tent is very difficult and there are no necessities for life. We spent a lot of the money we saved and we have no money left. I think a lot about what I can do to help my family. When the Israeli army entered Rafah, we went to the area [where we were staying] and it turned into rubble. We were tired and desperate and did not know where to go. We were displaced to another place. Now we are suffering from food and water shortages and the spread of epidemics. So, with all shame, I resorted to a chuffed.org link to be able to help my family.

My father is an old man and my mother is sick with high blood pressure, I am very sad and we cannot live without them, they have suffered a lot to provide for us and my brothers what we need to be able to live in these days of difficult circumstances.”
