WOODSIDE AGM ACTION

Event Listing

We all know Woodside is ripping off communities, fueling climate disasters, and driving species to extinction.

Next month, they’ll hold their Annual General Meeting and try to convince shareholders that business-as-usual gas expansion is still acceptable.

But we won’t let them drown us out.

📍 Kagoshima Park, Burswood
⏲️ Thursday 8 May | 9am

Together, we’ll send a clear message: no new gas, no social licence, no more destruction.

Let’s show them WA is watching. Link in bio to RSVP & find out more.

We all know Woodside is ripping off communities, fueling climate disasters, and driving species to extinction. The Burrup Hub gas project that they’re trying to get approved will threaten the beautiful Scott Reef, a feeding ground for the migratory pygmy blue whale and home to nesting sea turtles and the endangered dusky sea snake. But even in the face of these impacts, the fossil fuel corporation is determined to pursue business-as-usual at its annual general meeting next month.

In front of a room full of shareholders, Woodside will try to cover up its climate-wrecking record – how its gas is driving up temperatures in Australia and around the world, leading to more frequent and severe fires and droughts, higher energy prices and insurance costs for everyday people, and death sentences for entire species.

To keep its shareholders invested in fossil fuels, Woodside will try to drown out the majority of Western Australians, who want to replace gas with renewables. They will try to silence people like you – but we won’t let them.

On Thu 8 May at 9am, we’re going to raise our voices outside Woodside’s AGM to tell all shareholders loud and clear: no new fossil gas. To show them we mean business, each and every one of us needs to stand up and be heard. Your voice is needed – RSVP now!

As shareholders, politicians, and the rest of the business community tunes in from around the country, we must ensure the main takeaway is clear: fossil fuels have no social licence, and having no social licence is bad for business.

To get our critical message across, we each need to stand up and speak out against Woodside when it matters most – outside its AGM. Once you’ve let us know you’re coming on Thu 8 May, will you invite three of your friends to join you?

Together, we can do this.

[This action is co-hosted by Go Beyond Gas (an initiative of CCWA) and Greenpeace Australia Pacific. By RSVPing to this event, you are opting in to receive related campaign updates from these organisations.]
