This protest marks 78 years since the 1948 Nakba, the catastrophe, the campaign of mass expulsion inflicted by zionist militias coordinated by the future leaders of Israel. Palestinians were driven from their land through systematic massacres, destruction of homes and infrastructure and the planting of mines in rubble to prevent their former inhabitants returning.
The history of this founding atrocity has been continually denied, downplayed and even glorified by Israeli propagandists. We won’t stand for it!
As Israel continues to wage the same 78 year campaign to wipe out the Palestinians and pave over their history, we must fight to end Australia’s ties with the genocidal state and the US war machine funding it!
