What is the role of religion in the ongoing violence between Israelis and Palestinians? Are Jews and Muslims historic enemies? What is the role of Palestinian Christians in the Palestinian national movement? A panel discussion hosted by the Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network (PIEN).
Panelists:
– John Na’em Snobar: Palestinian Christian & Former Australian Diplomat to Egypt and Pakistan. Grandson of the first Palestinian Bishop of Jerusalem in the Anglican Church.
– Peter Slezak: Jewish activist for a just peace, speaker and author. Honorary Associate Professor at the University of NSW. Key role in recent film, Palestine Under Siege.
– Remah Naji: Palestinian Muslim, who was born to Palestinian refugees in Jordan. Public speaker and a key organiser at Justice for Palestine Magan-djin.
Moderator: Ahmed Alabadla: Palestinian from Gaza, co-founder of Palestine Justice Movement Sydney and creator of the Inverted Red Triangle Palestinian podcast.
