Over 25,000 supporters joined the National March for Palestine in Boorloo last month. It was the largest protest in WA since the Iraq War.
In the lead up to the next National March on 12 October in Boorloo, we especially call on Fremantle and surrounding communities to:
- support ‘Walyalup for Peace and Justice’ and march with us on 21 September to Free Palestine and Stop AUKUS
- demand an end to the genocide in Palestine and for the Australian government to sanction Israel, expel the Israeli Ambassador and end the two-way arms trade.
The US is highly complicit in Israel’s genocide in Palestine. Apart from being the major supplier of weapons to Israel, it is the main country blocking recognition of Palestinian statehood. Furthermore It has been instrumental in the disastrous weaponisation of hunger and is partly driving the current forced displacements from Gaza and ‘ levelling the land’, believed by many to be in preparation for Trump’s delusional ‘Riviera project’.
At this march on the International Day of Peace…
We call for peace in Palestine and the wider Middle East.
We also call for a nuclear free and peaceful Indo Pacific.
AUKUS not only means US nuke subs at HMAS Stirling in Cockburn Sound placing our community at risk and making us a nuclear target. It also bonds Australia to the US ‘s increasingly aggressive militarism and now ‘war’ (not defence) policy.
We call for Australia to cut military ties with the US and to cancel AUKUS and the Force Posture Agreement (FPA). #stopthegenocide #noarmstoisrael Cancel #AUKUS #peacenotwar
