All we sought was a meeting with our local member / the Minister for the North Coast to discuss the avoidable homelessness epidemic and the community’s solutions to fix the housing crisis.
Instead we were met with repeated police presence, an office closed to the public and refusal for a meeting.
We are strong in our numbers and we will continue advocating for better outcomes and leading with our grassroots solutions to ensure no one sleeps rough.
Housing is a human right. We pay the government to serve the people, not line the pockets of the rich.
