As costs of living worsen even further with a fuel crisis directly caused by the US and Israel’s imperialist aggression, workers are made to bear the burden while governments slash public services and welfare to increase military spending in support of genocide.
But workers across the world have never remained silent in the face of imperialism and genocide. In opposing the oppression of Aboriginal people, apartheid in South Africa and the Vietnam war, workers in Australia took strike action to halt the profits of corporations and governments.
These fights continue today as seen in the historic strike wave in Italy led by dockworkers who refused to load ships bound for Israel. Mass demonstrations of workers and supporters took place in every city in the country and inspired more strikes in Greece, Spain and France. These are the kind of actions we need force our government to sever its ties to Israel!
