Join WA’s Solidarity with Arrernte Custodians and local residents of Mparntwe/Alice Springs: Tune in this weekend to Vimeo to be part of the Close Pine Gap Sacred Land Back Convergence workshops, discussion, connecting and peaceful protest from July 18-20, 2026.
This year is the 60th anniversary of the signing of the agreement between the US and Australian governments that led to the construction of the so-called Pine Gap joint defence facility on Arrernte Country.
The convergence on the Pine Gap intelligence facility will take place on the 18-20 July to call for the end of the US alliance, the return of the land the facility has occupied for 60 years, and to talk about ongoing struggles for justice and decolonisation in this place.
