The @unitednations has revealed that @minister.papalia refused the UN access to Unit 18 and Banksia blaming the timing of Cleveland’s coronial report being handed down. This is disgraceful @rogercookmla! 😡

Cleveland’s mum Nadene has called Minister Papalia out:
“Two kids have died under his watch and now he won’t let the UN in. This government tortured my son into taking his own life – the Coroner said it was their responsibility. The UN are here to protect our young people. What is the government hiding? He has to close Unit 18 right now, like the Coroner said.”

The United Nations agrees, and called for Australia to prohibit holding children in Unit 18 in the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention’s Preliminary Findings. Link in linktree.
